The drainage grate mat is a combination of the SAGUSTU-DK smooth drainage mat and an 18 mm high plastic grate. The urine- and acid-resistant plastic grate replaces the supports of a conventional drainage mat and ensures the fastest possible drainage.

Drainage function:

Urine and water are channeled through the mat's fine channels directly onto the plastic grate. The small plastic feet ensure faster drainage.

Subsurface:

Installation on concrete or interlocking concrete pavers (firm sub-base). A gradient of approximately 2-3% and drainage are required. The grate is laid first and simply slotted together; then the mats are placed on the grate. We recommend edge fixing (e.g., wooden or aluminum rails) to prevent the rubber mats from slipping.

Cut:

Using a jigsaw with a wavy blade or a hand-held circular saw.

The SAGUSTU drainage mats are coated with a silicone layer during the manufacturing process. Therefore, before first use, please use water with a little dish soap or cleaning agent and scrub the mats thoroughly with a stiff brush.

Water permeability is then present from the beginning.

Please note:

To prevent the mats from slipping, we recommend creating an edge fixing using square timber or aluminum rail, unless walls or similar structures are already in place.

Rubber can expand when heated; insufficient wall clearance can lead to rippling.
