Padding of the walls and floor is essential, especially for recovery/anesthesia care units. The floor and wall coverings must meet specific requirements.
Before anesthesia and during the recovery phase, horses need a safe, slip-resistant floor. It's important that the horses don't slip when standing up and that they have a secure footing. Equally important is protecting the horse's head during the recovery phase. The stall walls should be effectively padded to prevent injuries.
All surfaces are easy to clean and therefore hygienic. We also offer rubber flooring for breeding stations, which provides the animals with a safe, slip-resistant footing.
Special wall covering for anesthesia and recovery boxes
Product description
Highly elastic wall protection which was specially developed for anesthesia and recovery boxes and offers optimal protection for horses during this critical phase.
The base of this custom-made product is a 12 mm thick, waterproof base plate with a highly elastic 30 mm cellular rubber insert and a highly wear-resistant 4 mm polyurethane top layer. Colors available: green or oxide red.
The above-mentioned elements are individually adapted or produced to suit your premises and can, upon request, be installed on-site in your clinic by our experienced assembly team.
Special flooring for anesthesia and recovery boxes

Highly elastic floor covering for anesthesia and recovery boxes with a total thickness of 65 mm.
This is a special floor made of a 15 mm thick special floor mat and a 50 mm thick cellular rubber core, which has optimal shock-absorbing properties and also ensures good slip resistance.

SAGUSTU rubber floor screed
Product description
For treatment rooms and veterinary clinics, rubber screed is the optimal flooring in terms of hygiene and comfort. Seamless installation creates a permanently seamless, waterproof surface. The surfaces are completely sealed.
For areas subject to heavy wear and tear (e.g. test stands), the rubber screed can also be provided with a permanently integrated anti-wear mat.

Concrete floor (no rising
soil moisture).
Recommended application thickness
For the clinic/breeding station area we recommend an application thickness of: 20 mm = 2.25 m² per 50 kg container

Please note that SAGUSTU rubber flooring screed is made of natural rubber and is solvent-free. This environmentally friendly consistency means that a limescale film may form at certain humidity levels or due to residual moisture in the subfloor. This can be removed with a standard limescale cleaner. Slight hoof prints in the surface are caused by the squashing of the swollen upper layer of latex. This is important for the horse's stability, but does not damage the surface. Installation instructions will be provided upon delivery of the goods after placing your order.
