Surface: Concrete, concrete composite paving (solid surface) Requirements: Ideally there should be a slope of around 2-3%, as well as a drain. Drainage description: SAGUSTU drainage mats transport urine between the large pimples underneath, using countless small channels. Bedding to soak up the urine is no longer necessary. It's easy to remove any dung using a shovel and broom. Less bedding: Up to 90% less bedding – less mucking out and less expense. Not using bedding is good for horses with allergies! Cushioning and kind to joints: The springy and cushioning effect of the rubber stable matting protects the hoof mechanism. This is important for your horse because it means better circulation and less lameness. Worn patches become a thing of the past! Non-slip: Non-slip surface provides the highest level of safety - your horse won't slip when he tries to stand up – no bare, hard concrete floor if bedding gets pushed aside when the horse stands up - the non-slip rubber stable matting allows your horse to move comfortably around his stable. Cheaper, easier and healthier: Your horse's risk of injury has been reduced to the absolute minimum, along with your workload and, therefore, costs. Less bedding means better air quality - helps to prevent respiratory problems. Lower vet's bills - healthier horses - less mucking out - more time with your horse. Noise insulating: The rubber stable mats reduce noise, eliminating the sound of hooves and making stables quieter. Heat insulating: Rubber stable matting improves comfort for your horse - no cold or damp, no rheumatism. Economical: Bedding is becoming increasingly expensive and more difficult to dispose of. Our products can save you money, because you will only need max. 10% of the bedding you used to use. SAGUSTU drainage mats will pay for themselves in no time, thanks also to their longevity! Maintenance: From time to time you can remove a mat from the centre of the box, for example, and flush water under the rest of the mats. We recommend that you clean your stable, maybe even taking out all of the mats, several times a year. The large pimples mustn't be left standing in urine, so a smooth floor is necessary. Hoses are best for cleaning, but high pressure washers can also be used. Taking care of your drainage mats prevents odor build-up and improves the function of the mats. Fitting: The drainage mats are easy to lay yourself. Start with the entrance door area at the front corner. When fitting, please remember that rubber expands when it heats up! Cutting: Adjust using e.g. an electric chainsaw or jigsaw (wood saw blade with medium teeth). |
